Hi, I’m Angie.

California native, Bay Area raised. I work in talent insights and analytics by day. The rest of the time I’m raising two boys, tending chickens, feeding dogs, growing food, making something out of nothing, and trying to keep things steady in a world that is not.
Sweet Savory Sustainable started as a place to share food. It’s still that. But it has also become my home base for my version of sustainable living and the practical art of starting over. Not curated or perfect. Just honest work that makes life feel better.
This is where I document what I’m learning, what I’m cooking, what I’m making, and what I’m rebuilding.
What you’ll find here
- Creative Roots
Watercolor, photography, writing, and the projects that keep me human - The Nourished Homestead
Scratch cooking, seasonal recipes, garden and chicken life, practical home rhythms - Sustainable Wellness and Movement
Walking, lifting heavy things, jiu jitsu mom life, and realistic health habits
- Family Systems
Motherhood, the mental load, and the systems that keep real life moving. - Rewriting the Script
Rewriting the script in real time. Learning as I go. Building a life that fits now.

Why I share
I learn by doing. I process it by documenting it.
I share because I want this to be useful. Simple food, real routines, creative projects, and systems that make life feel less chaotic.
And yes, I’m a data nerd. This site is where I slice, dice, test, tweak, and keep the receipts.
If you take one idea and it makes your week even five percent easier, that matters.
What I’m building
Over time I’m turning what works for me into simple resources you can use too. Meal prep templates, seasonal checklists, creative prompts, and realistic routines for home and health. Useful, repeatable, and built for real life.
A quick note on values
I’m into progress over perfection. Simple systems. Real food. Staying curious. Getting outside. Using what you have. Being honest about what’s hard, while still showing up for what’s good.
Credits and content
The words here are mine unless I say otherwise. When I use a quote, recipe inspiration, or media that isn’t mine, I credit the source. If you ever see something that needs correction, tell me and I’ll fix it.
Let’s connect
If you’re reading this, you’re already part of the story.
Leave a comment, send a note, share what you’re working on, or tell me what you want more of. I’d genuinely love to hear from you.
If you want updates when new posts and resources go live, check back here. I’ll be adding a simple email list soon for people who want everything in one place.
Welcome to Sweet Savory Sustainable.
