To make something sustainable is to weave it into one’s own unique lifestyle. Each of us is just that, unique, and there is no one size fits all plan to maintain a healthy, sustainable life.
The concept of sustainable fitness in the world of science is the ability for a living thing to adapt to continuously changing environments. From my personal view, for one to adapt sustainably, there needs to be a balance of one’s mention/emotional, physical, and spiritual health aka the mind, body & soul.
As a primarily remote employee, with two active boys & husband, living in the country, and access to limited resources, I’ve had to learn over time how to get creative. I’ve had to adjust and adapt to ensure my family has the support and resources we need.
When one can develop a mindset that can focus on adapting during any major change or adverse moment, has achieved sustainable fitness success. I am currently on this journey. It has taken all of my 43 years but I can say I’m closer today than I’ve ever been and I hope to share with you some of the things that have helped me to get here. Mind, body, and soul.
